Wada Blood Heads To Canada & The Caribbean This Summer

Fresh from a musical split with brother Andrew, and a commendable performance at the recently concluded Western Consciousness Reggae concert, Wada Blood is now re-introducing himself as a solo act.

In a release to the media Wada’s publicist explained that, “Earlier in the year the artiste took some time off for family and to reassess the state of his career while better understanding how to navigate the music industry.”

Armed with this knowledge, the ‘Irie’ and ‘Hustle Till I Die’ singer is slated to depart the island in the coming weeks as headliner for a concert in Canada’s capital city Toronto alongside several local acts. Plans are also afoot for a number of Caribbean and local assignments later in the year.

In early May, the young Reid premiered his first official video for 2013 to coincide with the much publicized Mothers Day celebrations. Aptly titled ‘My Mother’, the song pays tribute to mothers worldwide and tells a tale of a son torn between family and his female lover. The video was directed by David Sinclair and MGP Films.

‘My Mother’ is the follow up to his conscious effort ‘Rastafari Way’, which has been added to the playlist of St. Lucia’s most popular radio station Hot 105FM. Wada is now promoting his latest single ‘Never Beg Dem Nutten’ on the Bassick Records imprint.
