Ninjaman Trial Kicks Off In May 2013

Desmond Ballentine, more popularly known as Ninjaman, will begin his long awaited murder trial in May 2013.

Ninja, who was released on bail earlier this year, will stand trial along with his son, Janiel Ballentine, were jointly charged with the 2009 murder of 20-year-old Ricardo ‘Ricky Trooper’ Johnson.

According to police reports, Ricky Trooper was shot and killed by Ninjaman and his son during a domestic dispute on Mall Road, St. Andrew in March 2009.

Ninjaman spent three years behind bars before he was granted a $2 million bail. As condition of his bail, Ninjaman is required to report to the police station six days per week and also be at home between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The deejay got some good news last week when police lifted his curfew to allow him to perform at Sting 2012.
