Justin Bieber Takes Strong Stance Against Racism As He Preps R&B Album

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is apologizing for past racist behavior just before he’s set to drop an R&B album.

Pop star Justin Bieber has grown and matured just before our very eyes over the last decade. The 25-year-old singer entered the public eye at the young age of 13 and has gone from cute child-star to a troublemaking teenager, to a married man. As of late, the “Baby” singer has been promoting peace and solidarity as he looks to clean up his image, and on Tuesday apologized to fans for racist remarks he’s made in the past.

Justin, who recently married Hailey Baldwin, took to Instagram Tuesday to post “Stand Against Racism.” In the caption, Bieber said he wants to take back hurtful words he said when he was younger. “When I was young I was uneducated and found myself saying really hurtful things not knowing the power of my words,” he wrote. “Racism Is still very prevalent and I want to use my voice to remind we are all human being and all of EQUAL VALUE BEFORE GOD!” In 2014, Justin Bieber found himself facing backlash after a video surfaced of him making racist jokes using the “n-word.” In the video released in 2014, Bieber, who was 15 at the time, asks, “Why are black people afraid of chain saws?” He answers his own question saying, “Run ni**a, ni**a, ni**a, ni**a,” laughing and imitating the sound of a chain saw.

Justin Beiber was 20 when the video was made public, and he apologized to the public back then too. The timing of this recent apology comes on the heels of the singer’s reported “R&Bieber” album that is set to drop by the end of 2019. Fans on social media applauded him for his growth as a man and for recognizing his mistakes.

Are you looking forward to an R&B album from Justin Bieber?
