Drake namedrops City Girls and Kevin Durant on Rick Ross new track “Gold Roses.”

It’s always a hit out of the park when Drake and Rick Ross link up on some new music. Following their well-received collaboration, “Money In The Grave,” the two rap titans link up again on “Gold Roses,” a cut off Rozay’s forthcoming new album, Port of Miami 2. The new track was produced by Rascals, Vinylz, Oz, and SykSense, who left his signature sound all over the production.

While the Maybach Music Group chief raps about not having a Grammy, the OVO leader name-checks NBA star Kevin Durant and Miami rap group, City Girls. “All smiles, Kevin Durant trials / Had to blow it on the court, I must have blew a milli’ / I’m walkin’ on all charges, that’s my new Achilles,” Drake raps while seemingly referencing Durant’s injuring his Achilles in the NBA finals against Toronto Raptors last season. “I gotta get the most of everything” is the axis on which it sit and twirls / Point blank period, like a City Girl and then I bring it back to 50 world,” he raps.

“I was nominated, never won a Grammy / But I understand, they’ll never understand me / Lot of lives lost, but I never panicked / Lot of lines crossed, I never did a Xanny,” Rick Ross raps.

Ross and Drake have a bit of a falling out a few years back when the Toronto rapper was beefing with the MMG Bawse’s protege Meek Mill. Drizzy and Meek have since made amends, and so did he and Rozay. Unity.
