Blueface, Meg Thee Stallion, Gunna, DaBaby among others make the 2019 XXL Freshman Class.
For the first time, three women make the XXL Freshman list. Meg Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty, and Tierra Whack are all on the cover with eight more artists who are males. You will see some familiar names like Blueface, Gunna, DaBaby, and YBN Cordae, as well as, some other fast-rising names like Roddy Rich, Lil Mosey, Comethazine, and YK Osiris.
All 11 artists joined the annual XXL Freshman list which has in the past include artists like J. Cole, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Kendrick Lamar, and Big Sean. There is also the usual freestyle fanfare surrounding the release of this year’s Freshman Class edition of XXL Mag. There are also some interviews where artists spoke about their journey.
All 11 artists will take the stage at the 2019 XXL Freshman show in New York City at the PlayStation Theater on July 22 and at The Novo in Los Angeles on July 25.
