The Game Avoids Jail After Copping Plea Deal In Police Assault Case

The Game was lucky to avoid going to jail after taking a plea deal in his police assault case.

The Compton rapper got into a fight at a basketball pickup game with an off-duty LAPD officer in June 2015 where he punched the cop. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery and criminal threats. But in a plea deal that he accepted in court on Monday he opt to not contest the case and was given three years probation and 180 days in jail which was suspended, TMZ reported.

The Game will also have to do 120 days community service and 26 classes for anger management. As if that was not enough, the Documentary rapper pled no contest to felony grand theft after jacking a paparazzi camera while he was served with court docs.

The off-duty police officer also sued The Game who has since settled the case for $100,000.
