WizKid & Drake Song: Sony Fights Leak Of “One Dance” Followup

A new WizKid and Drake single “Hush Up the Silence” made its way online earlier this month and Sony Music is now fighting back mopping up all leak.

There are no words yet on who leaked the song online and we’re told that both Drake and WizKid are upset about the leak. The song also made its way onto SoundCloud has now been taken down after Sony sent out letter to multiple media outlets demanding a takedown, Music Business Worldwide reported.

Hush Up The Silence” is the highly anticipated “One Dance” followup track that we first heard about from back in October last year, via WizKid’s Twitter page. The Nigerian singer signed a a deal with Sony RVA last year in what is believed to be a seven-figure multi-album deal. The leaked single, though was good quality, sounded like a rough mix, which is a sign that it was not ready to be release.

“We have learned that your service is making available, distributing and/or referring/linking users to infringing copies of the following sound recordings, the copyrights in which are exclusively owned or controlled by one or more IFPI Represented Companies,” excerpts from the letter reads. “We are asking for your immediate assistance in stopping this unauthorised activity.”

WizKid announced a big collaboration dancehall artist Vybz Kartel for his upcoming album. “Vybz kartel x Wizkid 2017!! Gazaaaaa forever,” he tweeted on Thursday.
