T.I. Talks Changing Name To TIP, Drop New EP Sa Nic

Atlanta rapper T.I. has changed his name to TIP and also drops a new EP Da Nic on September 11.

Speaking with Shay Diddy from KMEL radio station, TIP explains the name change, as well as, opens up about his new movie with Jamie Foxx.

“At this point in my career, my tenth album, it’s time for me to really, really dedicate the attention that is deserved by the fans who were here first,” he said. “At this point in time, at this point in my career, if I can’t make the music that I want to make to satisfy them, them being here first, them being down with me the longest, I might as well stop making music.”

Over the years TIP ventured away from making trap music to more radio friendly hits like “Blurred Lines” and Whatever You Like” that has generated tremendous success.

The rap superstar/actor also spoke about his upcoming film with Jamie Foxx where he said they both played cops who found themselves in serious trouble.
