Beyonce sends her message of hope across the world in her new music video for “I Was There,” a song dedicated to World Humanitarian Day.
Beyonce teamed up with the United Nation and other humanitarian aid organization to launch a global humanitarian campaign today (August 19).
“It says, ‘I want to leave my footprints in the sands of time’ and it basically is all of our dreams,” Beyonce told Anderson Cooper. “And that’s leaving our mark on the world. I feel like we all want to know that our life meant something.”
Footage for the video was shot at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York earlier this month in front a live audience. The single appeared on Beyonce platinum selling album 4.
