Officially being dubbed as New York Fashion Week’s hottest couple, Kehlani and YG step out in style, hand in hand at Rihanna‘s Annual Diamond Ball.
The pair recently confirmed rumors they were dating when they both arrived at New York Fashion Week together on September 5th. The singer posted photos on her Instagram page of the two at the event, and they could be seen embracing each other and sharing intimate moments. That post captioned, “cats out the bag.” The couple received significant backlash from fans who believe it’s too soon for either party to be dating after welcoming newborns. Kehlani welcomed her daughter, Adeya Nomi, in March with then-boyfriend, Javie Young-White, while YG welcomed his second daughter with Catelyn Sparks in July.
The couple remained unbothered by all the hate and made their second official public appearance as a couple at Rihanna’s Annual Diamond Ball. Wearing a black velvet tux with a white shirt and a black & white bandana, YG looked very dapper. Kehlani was dressed in a sheer see-through floor-length turtle neck gown with her hair in a long bob style, looking positively radiant. The pair can be seen holding hands and hugging.
Inside the event, the couple got close and were spotted kissing at their table. During the event, Kehlani tweeted, “Rihanna jus asked me how’s my baby and banged the west on me HAHAHAHA LIFE MADEEEEEE.”
The Diamond Ball was held at New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street venue. Television host, Seth Meyers acted as the emcee while DJ Khaled and Pharrell gave incredible performances. Rihanna also joined Pharrell on stage to sing their hit collab, “Lemon.” Rihanna and the Diamond Ball officials honored two people, Mia Mottley, the Prime Minister of Barbados and Shaun King, a civil and social activist.
The event was teeming with celebs, other than YG and Kehlani of course. Cardi B, Hennessy Carolina, Normani, Megan Thee Stallion, A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky, G-Eazy, Meek Mill, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, Pharrell and soon to be dad of two, DJ Khaled who walked the carpet with his wife, Nicole Tuck with her baby bump were all in attendance.
It seems we’ll be seeing plenty of Kehlani and her man, YG in the future.
