Rihanna pays homage to the fashion icon Amelia Earhart in Harper’s Bazaar’s 2017 Big Fashion Issue.
The magazine is celebrating its 150th anniversary and who better than Rihanna should cover the issue. The Bajan pop star has been a driving force in the fashion world over the last few years. In her cover photo, Rihanna donned blonde hair and made a seductive pose, but inside the mag, there is a treasure trove of photos of her being a female pilot.
“On my Amelia Earhart sh*t! Such an honor to pay tribute to this dynamic badass woman! Always handled her duties in the most style,” Rihanna wrote on IG. In her spread, she spoke about Earhart being ahead of her time and being a driving force in the industry.
“It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer,” she said. “Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time.”
Rihanna is currently filming her new movie Ocean Eight in New York City along with some big name stars including Sandra Bullock.
