Hip Hop need more new music and most of all more music videos from Missy Elliott. The rap icon debut her new futuristic video for a new song “I’m Better” and the internet is loving it.
The rap veteran surprises us all on Thursday night when she dropped the brand new single and an accompanying music video. A little background on the trap-infused track, we know it was produced by Lamb, who has worked with the likes of Monica and Beyonce. Missy Elliott is credited as a writer of the single and co-director of the video along with Dave Meyers who has worked with her on previous cuts.
Missy worked her magi in the sci-fi clip with some underwater choreography and avant-garde fashion. The hip hop icon is currently working on her new documentary set to be premiered later this year. The documentary chronicles her rise to stardom and impact on hop hop culture and will see Pharrell Williams and Busta Rhymes making commentary.
