Desmond Ballentine, more popularly known as Ninja Man, may not be performing at this year’s Reggae Sumfest.
As part of his bail condition, Ninja Man should not be seen on the street between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
In addition to his strict curfew, Ninja Man says the organizers of the greatest reggae show on earth are not paying him enough to perform on dancehall night.
“It’s not a guarantee am performing at sumfest base on the agreement and the offer that they are giving me,” Ninja Man told Irie FM. “Mr Gourzong spend more than that on his dogs per month, so I can’t perform for less than what I want.”
Ninja Man and his son were released earlier this year on $2 million bail, after spending three years in jail awaiting trial on a murder charge.
His trial kicks off this summer.
