Beenie Man Apologize Concert No-Show In Cayman, Promoters Angry

Beenie Man has issued an apology to all his fans for missing a show in Grand Cayman last weekend.

The dancehall icon confirmed with Urban Islandz that his bands did not received a work permit to travel to Cayman for the show and as a result he could not perform.

“I can’t perform without my band,” the Doc said. “I also want to apologize to all my fans and let them know that we are working with the promoters to reschedule the show to a later date.

Ann Marie Logan, who heads Champion Promotion, says that they lost $25,000 Cayman Dollar which is roughly JM$3.8 million because of Beenie Man’s no show. She has already hired an attorney and could filed a lawsuit against the “Rum and Redbull” deejay.

“I have contacted my lawyer and it will be dealt with as soon as possible,” Logan said. “My reputation as a businesswoman and also Champion Promotion was damaged. The fans were ready for the show.”
