Lil Wayne sends warning shots to Kendrick Lamar in response to some bars on the GNX album.

The Compton rapper delivered the surprise album on Friday (November 23), much to the delight of his fans. However, some of the lyrics on the project are causing much uproar in hip-hop, including some lyrics that mention Weezy. Lil Wayne is now making it clear that he “shall destroy if disturbed” further.

On the track “wacced out murals,” Kendrick Lamar raps about being a fan of Lil Wayne in the past and now questioning where he stands following the Super Bowl Halftime show row. K.Dot also shouts out Nas for being the only rapper to congratulate him on getting the Halftime show performance.

“I used to bump ‘Tha Carter 3’, I held my Rollie chain proud. Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down… Got the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me, all these n****s agitated I’m just glad it’s on they faces,” K.Dot raps.

In his response on X (formerly Twitter), Lil Wayne warned the West Coast rapper to let him stay in retirement. “Man wtf I do?! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head,” he wrote. “Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love.”

After the news came out that Kendrick Lamar would be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, Lil Wayne and a lot of his supporters felt slighted by Jay-Z and Roc Nation. Several rappers, including Nicki Minaj, publicly called out Hov for not choosing Weezy to perform at such a big event in his hometown. Some folks even questioned if Wayne’s association with Drake, who just had a heated beef with Kendrick, played a role in the decision.

Reacting to the news, Lil Wayne admitted that he had always wanted to perform in his hometown in front of his mother and hometown fans. “I worked my a** off to get that f—in’ position,” Weezy said. “It was ripped away from me. But this moment right here — they can’t take that away from me.”

Kendrick Lamar has not yet reacted to what Lil Wayne wrote on X this weekend. However, he is likely busy watching the numbers after his album, GNX, was rolled out without prior notice. K.Dot’s fans are using the opportunity to troll Drake, who hasn’t released a new album or new music since their infamous lyrical beef earlier this year.
