Meek Mill Shares Trailer For His “Free Meek” Documentary

The trailer for Meek Mill’s new documentary series Free Meek is now out.

The Philadelphia rapper is taking his story to a TV screen near you. Over the past few years, we’ve seen Meek Mill fight the justice system for his freedom and is now using his platform and his time to fight for justice reform. The Dreamchasers rapper has teamed up with Amazon Original to release a documentary series titled, Free Meek, which will chronicle his 2017 arrest for probation violation which ultimate lead a judge to sentence him to four years in prison.

In the new trailer, Meek Mill gave his side of the story dated back to his original arrest when he was much younger. There is also the issue of police corruption on the part of his arresting officer. The case spawned the #FreeMeek hashtag that went viral and helped lead to his release from prison.

“I decided to use my platform to help others who don’t have a voice,” Meek said.

Meek Mill received a lot of support from his fans and his celebrity friends, including JAY-Z. CNN’s Van Jones and JAY-Z served as executive producers of the film.

The Free Meek documentary premieres on August 9, on Amazon Prime Video.
