Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole on the same album is crazy as it sounds but could be a real possibilty according to TDE rapper Ab-Soul.
K-Dot and Cole are two of the hottest young rappers of the last few years with both releasing multi-platinum albums. Both J. Cole and Ab-Soul have albums out today and both rappers are creating a lot of buzz around their respect projects.
Speaking with The Breakfast Club on Friday, Charlamagne Tha God grilled Ab-Soul about a possible Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole joint LP. At first he shy away from responding to a question about a possible collaboration in the works. “I can’t speak on that. I wish I could.” But then Charlamagne grilled him further on the joint album subject.
“They got something in the works,” Ab-Soul said reluctantly. “They’ve been working on that motherf***er for a while.”
Ab-Soul seems to be on a press run promoting his new album DWTW which is currently available on iTunes/Apple Music. Watch a snippet from the interview.
