Lil Yachty Explains Why He Still Fly Commercial, Says He Has $50K Monthly Bills

Lil Yachty

Lil Yachty still flies commercial instead of private and some fans have an issue.

In another episode of “much ado about nothing,” a fan reportedly “caught” rapper Lil Yachty flying commercial and was so shocked they just had to share it with social media. Rappers are notorious for their flashy lifestyles, including fancy cars, expensive shoes, and of course, lavish vacations. Whether it be or for work, celebrities are often seen flying private and not commercial.

It is, therefore, understandable why his fans were shocked when they realized Lil Yachty was “slumming it” commercial style. In what has been seen as a possible smear attack on the rapper, the fan posted a video via Tik Tok with the caption: “Caught lil yachty lacking.” Things took an interesting turn when Lil Yachty saw the video and offered his response. “This is weird as f***. Why do y’all do this, Am I trippin? I know y’all be thinkin’ I’m tripping right now… is this not weird?” Questioned the “Act Up” writer.

He then went on to remind the followers who were criticizing him for flying commercial that he has been flying private jets since his teenage years. However, he did not see it fit to spend “10 times the money if I don’t have to.” Just recently, he outlined to the media that he pays a little over $50,000 a month in bills. So while he loves extravagant toys and jewelry and has been known to blow cash, the Quality Control signee is still making it known that he knows just where to cut costs.

In a recent interview, he said, “You have to be making money while you’re sleeping. Never just one source of income.” Yachty has partnerships with Reeses and Reebok. He was also the recipient of a pair of sneakers from Beyonce’s Icy Park line.

As for his current monthly expenses, Lil Yachty says he is forking out $50,000 per month to live his lifestyle.

“Every month, I got $52,000 in bills,” Yachty said while appearing on Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, according to Complex. “Monthly, you know what I’m saying? And, I have to work … Let’s say I got $13 million in the bank, right? If my overhead is $52,000 every month ’cause of my houses, and my staff and cars and insurance and all these things I take care of and all these people, that $13 [million] will run down. Because that’s just the bills. I still like to live. I’m still a rapper. I still wanna go to nice dinners, fly my girl out, go to see my girl. We still wanna do all these things.”
