Popcaan Getting In Shape For “Unruly Fest” – TROUBLE!

The Unruly Boss is in the process of getting ‘firm and strong’ for next month’s staging of Unruly Fest.

A video post of the Unruly boss Popcaan in the gym undergoing rigorous strength training in preparation for his Unruly Fest performance has set off a firestorm of comments from his followers on Instagram, as well as his fellow entertainers. The post, which was made by Popcaan on his IG page, features three short video clips with the artiste under the supervision of a trainer from Spry Fitness Centre in Kingston. Under his trainer’s watchful eyes, Popcaan pushes weights, on a sled across the room, among other things.

Most of his fans expressed delight that the artiste had decided to keep fit, with some even reminding him that health is wealth.

“Must keep healthy. Never neglect your health to chase after wealth, because sometimes all the wealth in the world can’t buy back your health. They go hand in hand,” one fan said.

One woman lamented the fact that Popcaan had started using that fitness center after she had stopped.

“So when I leave Jamaica and don’t workout anymore at Spry Training you start training there? A wah di b*mboclaat life f**king unfair,” she said.

Other followers teased the St. Thomas native about his fitness levels, which they said was sub-par.

“Dawg look buss to Rass. don’t #trouble #trouble,” one man quipped, while another woman chimed in: “Well now we know Poppy could be a certified hand cart man.”

Popcaan’s Unruly Fest will be held on December 21 for the second consecutive year. This year it will be held at the Goodyear Oval in St. Thomas. The line-up includes Bounty Killer, Protoje, Agent Sasco, Sanchez, Capleton, Jah Frass, Chronic Law, and Sizzla Kalonji, among others.

At the launch of the event last month at the Triple Century Sports Bar in New Kingston, Popcaan said the international act this year would be announced at a later date. Last year at the inaugural staging, the featured international act was Canadian rapper Drake. His fellow artistes Tanya Stephens, Jahvinchi, and Agent Sasco, had also performed at the event.
