Chronic Law remains one of the most consistent dancehall artiste this year, and his new single “Don’t Change” reinforced his position in the genre.

Chronic Law finally gave us a record that has a different sound than the rest of his catalog with his new song, “Don’t Change.” The Drop Top Records production is one of many on the “Violin Crush Riddim,” which also features Vybz Kartel. The producer definitely deserves props for encouraging these flawless harmonies that we always knew the Lawboss was capable of. Not only is the dancehall artiste’s smooth vocals enhanced with these harmonies, but it makes the hook even more alluring to listeners. Chronic Law also gives us a different tone in the verses, even though he delivers a familiar flow.

“Doh make money change yuh,” the 6ix artiste sings in the chorus, but even though he softened up the vocals, he did not reduce the quality of his verses on this track. “Mi still ina mi place / Still a travel wid di dawg wah everybody hate / Right now di killa fulla grades an him nuh graduate / Bank book consolidate / And heavy like foreign ape / Salt Spring seh we still a win ina Mobay,” the deejay says with a likable flow.

Chronic Law fans have been lauding the “Hillside” deejay for his newest track, which has garnered tens of thousands of Youtube views since its release on Sunday (Oct 13). Listen to the song that made online user ‘gaza pedro’ juxtapose the Lawboss with the Gaza boss in this comment: “who seh kartel n law boss ave the baddest song on this riddim,” and compelled several fans to agree.
