The Rock Gave DaBaby Some Strength On The Gram

DaBaby’s sophomore album “Kirk” was projected to outsell its competition, and with a co-sign from legendary wrestler and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, it seems that projection may just become a reality.

The Rock commended Dababy and Kevin Gates for the shoutout in “Pop Star,” which is listed in the number 5 slot on the new album. It seems the actor made the video during his workout session and even had time to give fans his signature pose as he continued to drop nuggets of inspiration and love to the young rappers.

He captioned his Instagram post, “appreciate my boy @dababy & @iamkevingates for the name check on Baby’s new #1 album #KIRK. You already know, “Pop Star” is locked in my Iron Paradise playlist and ready to drop these [muscles] on their candy a**es. Congrats on the album & keep doin’ it strong. #hardestworkersintheroom.”

DaBaby showed his appreciation in is usual comedic way, by reposting The Rock’s video while captioning it, “I’m officially a legend now dawg. If you ain’t no early 90s or 80s Baby you ain’t gone feel me. I’m ready to beat a ni**a up like im The ROCK “POP STAR” Ft. @iamkevingates #KIRK OUT NOW.”

The Charlotte rapper should definitely benefit from this shoutout from one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The Fast & Furious actor currently has a fanbase of 158m followers on Instagram.

Fans of DaBaby and The Rock are loving the energy with one even stating, “He gotta be in the music videoooo!!!” If this was to happen it would definitely cement Dababy in the realm of hip hop.
