Kanye West fans can breathe a sigh of relief, his highly anticipated album “Jesus Is King” is finally dropping tonight!

Fans have been waiting on some much-needed new music from the controversial rapper. Kanye West‘s rumored album “Yandhi” was supposed to drop last year but we’ve yet to receive the project. Then his wife, Kim Kardashian made headlines when she teased an album release date with a full tracklist back in August.

However, fans were confused as the title of the album was “Jesus Is King” and not “Yandhi” as expected. The date announced was also September 27th. Based on the title of the songs on the list it also seemed that we were getting a gospel album from the rapper.

Fans marked the date on their calendar and were quite excited. Unfortunately, rumors then began circulating that the album release was postponed and fans began to think that they would never get a new album from the lyrical mastermind.

But alas! We can all sound the alarm and shout from mountain tops everywhere as the album is actually being released tonight.

According to Complex, Kanye’s publicist, Trevian Kutti, posted a photo on Instagram which read, “Kanye West Jesus Is King will drop at 8 p.m.”

There is no time zone specified, but it does seem that Kanye will be dropping his new project tonight. Another positive is that Kanye West’s ‘Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience’ takes place in Detroit tonight. Mere coincidence that the timing is the same? I think not.

Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience will go down at 8 p.m. local time Friday night. The venue stated that tickets for the event are free and available exclusively at Ticketmaster. Fox Theatre says the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and has encouraged attendees to arrive early.

“This will be a MOBILE-ONLY event with no PDFs, ticket transfers or screenshots permitted,” the venue tweeted.

Attendees will also be required to hand over their mobile devices upon entry; cellphones, smartphones, and even smartwatches will be placed in a YONDR pouch until the event concludes, Complex reported.

The “experience” is described as an “IMAX event,” though it’s unclear what it will consist. It is very possible that the rapper will be previewing his album in an interactive way or a play. Fans are definitely in store for some magic tonight.

Whether it’s just the “Kanye West Experience” and no album, or both; I’m sure fans will be very satisfied.
