Tekashi 6ix9ine has now testified against Jim Jones saying he is a member of Nine Trey, and admitted to ordering a shooting of Chief Keef.
Day three of the Tekashi 6ix9ine racketeering trial in which the rapper is testifying against two Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members got underway Thursday and Tekashi has implicated yet another famous rapper in his testimony. After a series of questions, 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, was asked who is Jim Jones to which he identified him as a “retired rapper.”
According to Inner City Press reporter Mathew Russell Lee, Tekashi was then asked was Jim Jones a member of Nine Trey and the “GUMMO” rapper confirmed, “yes.” It is unclear why the government brought up Jim Jones’ name in a case against affiliates Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack. Afterwards, prosecutors played a phone call in court of a conversation between Nine Trey godfather Mel Murda and Jimmy.

The day began with prosecutors addressing Tekashi 6ix9ine’s kidnapping after the jury was shown footage of the 2018 incident. Tekashi explained that he publicized the crime because he knew Harv, who he previously said had a hand in setting the robbery up, had a video and he wanted to get his out first. Afterwards the rapper admitted that he offered someone $50,000 to rob Harv after he was kidnapped.
The testimony then moved on to things Tekashi said during interviews with the Breakfast Club last year, in particular when he denounced Nine Trey, calling them “frauds” and dirty bloods.” Prosecutors played another wiretapped phone call of Mel Murda reacting to Tekashi’s words. “We made you who you was so you could help us with our situation. We gave you life. You wouldn’t be sh*t without Trey!,” the recording said.
During a cross examination from Harv and Nuke’s defense team, Tekashi confessed to ordering a shooting against Chicago rapper Chief Keef in front of the Barclays Center. The affiliates’ lawyers asked the rapper to define trolling and then played a video of Tekashi bragging about the shooting and making fun of Chief Keef’s team for ducking and running from the gunshots.

Tekashi also revealed that he hopes to get time served for his cooperation although he originally faced a maximum of life in prison. Time served would get the rapper out of prison by the beginning of 2020.
