Vybz Kartel Protege Shawn Storm & Rvssian Got Some New Heat Coming

Vybz Kartel’s protege and right-hand man, Shawn Storm, and producer Rvssian got some new heat on the way.

The world has been awoken to new music coming in from Rvssian and incarcerated dancehall artiste Shawn Storm. A video was recently released on Siva’s Instagram account confirming the release, or as one would call it, a re-release of the song, “Lyrical Gyallis*. The post was captioned, “lyricalgyallis…Suh after 5 years of preparing, the official audio is ready to be released today on my YouTube channel.”

The track which was unofficially released back in 2014, is now back with a new beat by Rvssian. The Jamaican-born producer has seen a lot of success overseas, collaborating with acts such as Nicki Minaj, J Balvin, Becky G just to name a few. It seems he has imparted his new sound to this old track. The new beat is a mixture of dancehall type strings, laid over trap drums.

Siva, one of Vybz Kartel‘s most loyal associates, has always blessed dancehall with great melodies and flows. He got it right with the initial release of this song and seemed to have outdone himself with this new release. He deejays, “Everyweh mi go, Gyal afi falla mi, gyal afi calla mi, gyal afi swalla mi.”

The style and the flow of the song is unique and is a testament of the lyrical prowess or the “My Life” singjay. The track falls under the Rvssian’s Head Concussion Record Label and will be distributed by Johnny Wonder Digital Distribution.

It seems Rvssian has outdone himself with this remake, adding all the right spices and sauces to give it that new international trap-dancehall sound. The announcement means that the new sound for “Lyrical Gyallis” could see it creating waves internationally.

That would be great news for Shawn who is currently serving a life sentence with co-accused and then leader of the Portmore Empire, Vybz Kartel. Both artistes were sentenced back in 2014, with Shawn Storm being eligible for parole after 25 years.

We await the release on Shawn Storm’s Youtube channel.
