Cops tried to shut down the “Hot Girl Summer” video shoot, but Megan Thee Stallion and her crew made it work.

LAPD crashed the video shoot for Megan Thee Stallion’s newest hit “Hot Girl Summer” with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign last Friday, according to TMZ. The shoot took place in Hollywood Hills, but Megan apparently didn’t have the proper permits.

The stars were all set to roll at a mansion in the Mount Olympus neighborhood and Nicki and Meg were rocking those matching neon striped outfits seen in the photos posted by the rappers over the weekend.

Law enforcement claimed someone snitched and called the cops, and that’s when police found out the crew didn’t have the right paperwork. But that didn’t stop the show.

The production packed up and headed to a different location about 50 miles away in Chino Hills. The shoot continued as planned, and they wrapped up without any further issues, TMZ said.

Megan dropped her anthem that coins her signature phrase last Friday, the same day as the shoot. The collaboration between the two female MCs was the result of an Instagram Live chat where Megan hinted that she wanted Nicki to hop on the track. Once the release date was pushed back, fans pretty much knew Onika was adding her verse to the song that already featured Ty Dolla on the hook.

There has been no word yet on when the video is dropping.
