The Queen Of Dancehall and her legion of dancer converged at Mas Camp on Monday where a large crowd had gathered to celebrate her born day. Spice turned 37 on August 6, and she celebrated her birthday in style. After putting on a show for her fans at this year’s Reggae Sumfest, the dancehall diva still managed to pull a massive crowd for her birthday bash where she even gave some lucky fans cash and appliance prizes.

The theme of the party was “Cool It Down,” and in staying true to her catchphrase, Spice gifted some lucky fans air conditioner units to cool down their homes for the rest of the hot summer.

“I didn’t advertise this but I gave away a A/C units every half hour at my birthday party,” she said. “All my fans had to do was sing any one of my songs to win one so congratulations to all the winners even the dancers who did a dance off. My party was mad lit.”

A couple of local celebrities and politicians turned out for the event including former beauty queen turn MP Lisa Hanna. Spice thanked all of her supporters for showing her so much love. “Thanks to everyone who came to my birthday party words can’t express how much I love all of you I really appreciate the love and support from my country and will continue to wave our flag world wide,” she said.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness recently took timeout his busy schedule to praise Spice for her hard work and contribution to dancehall. For the past decade, she has been at the forefront of Jamaica’s popular music while representing the culture on the international stage.
