Bounty Killer Hit Pause On Bounty Sunday For Some Trini Wine In Trinidad

Bounty Killer

Bounty Killer’s free weekly party, dubbed Bounty Sundays has been stopped in its tracks due to the State of Public Emergency imposed yesterday in the South St Andrew Police Division where Waterhouse, the venue for the event falls.

“Unfortunately there won’t be no Bounty Sundays tonight due to the State of Emergency in South St. Andrew Police Division. Sorry for any inconvenience caused,” the 46-year-old artiste posted on his Instagram, shortly before 10 pm on Sunday, evoking disappointment and outrage from one fan.

“Parliament fi drop it cause a deh so criminals seek shelter from public scrutiny behind titles like MP, Councillor, Mayor, Senator and such! Dem a gwaan too much,” the follower, aceistv1 wrote.

The Killer was in Trinidad and Tobago over the weekend to perform at the Magnum Tonic Wine’s Inferno Concert. The dancehall legend was captured on video, in an unusual showing, ‘wukking’ up a storm behind a female Trini fan, who ‘wined like a propeller’ as the Poor People Governor belted out lyrics from his popular song “Wine fi di General”, which left many of his fans fascinated.

“Couldn’t go Trinidad and nuh get a Trini wine. Gyaaaaaaaaalll!” Bounty, whose real name is Rodney Pryce wrote.

“Di man a dagga her, a deejay, still pon di riddim, sound same way ike di 45 and nuh off key not one bit…ow much atiste can duh dis weh @grunggadzilla duh? Jus a handful,” an obviously impressed icongenna wrote about the deejays apparent fitness.

Bounty Killer is still basking in his weekend event in Trinidad it would appear, as he posted several other videos, all in one day, of his performance which took place at the Queens Park Savanah in the twin island republic.

“Mi bad before internet, me bad before microwave, mi bad when colour TV jus a come een; me bad before CD,” he blurted out in one video, as his fans jumped and screamed.

Over on Magnum Trinidad and Tobago’s page, the promoters seemed very happy themselves, posting videos and photographs of the deejay mid-performance.

“The General of all Generals giving the crowd a performance to remember,” the caption read.

Bounty was among a galaxy of Reggae and Dancehall stars to perform at the event. Aidonia, Coco T, Teejay and Louie Culture were among the top honchos who graced the stage, with Aidonia serving as the closing act.
