Drake gets immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds.

There is Drake, and then there is the “Hotline Bling” version of Drake. The Toronto rapper created one of the biggest songs possibly of the decade when he released “Hotline Bling” in 2016. Madame Tussauds decided to use the theme from the song to encompass Drizzy’s first wax figure that is now on display in Las Vegas. Unlike past celebrity wax figures, they nailed this one down to the T. It’s almost as if Drake has been standing there motionless until you touch him and realize he is wax.

The set, which was designed by James Turrell, is now open for public viewing in Las Vegas. “Fortunately, the viral internet sensation of one of his most iconic music videos was the driving design factor for the look and feel of the Drake figure and set at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas,” studio manager Adam Morey told Billboard. “Each figure is skillfully crafted by Master sculptors, colorists and stylists out of our studios in Acton, London.”

Morey explains that Drake wax figure and the set took them months to make. It involves data collecting and research before the cast was even created. Morey added that the cast is then used to create the wax figure itself and then it took a team weeks to insert the individual human hair follicles into the face and scalp.
