Kodak Black made good on his promise to give XXXTentacion’s son some cash.

DJ Scheme confirmed on Tuesday that Kodak Black came through with a $50,000 gift to XXXTentacion’s infant son, Gekyume Onfroy. The gesture might be small change for Project Baby who is worth millions, but it meant a lot since a lot of other celebrities made promises to help and still haven’t come through. It’s been one year since X, real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was shot and killed in South Florida, and six months since his son came into the world. His legacy is being kept alive by his mother Cleopatra Bernard, who also plays a central role in the well-being of his son.

“Hey man shout out to @KodakBlack1k for sending 50 f***ing bands to Gekyume,” DJ Scheme wrote. “That is a real f***ing human being.”

Kodak Black paid homage to XXXTentacion in a new song and music video “Malcolm XXX” released on Tuesday, the anniversary of his death. X was shot and killed in a robbery inside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Four men have since been arrested in connection to the murder and are currently behind bars awaiting trial for capital murder.

XXXTentacion’s estate also announced that his new documentary is coming soon while releasing a teaser trailer for the film. A release date wasn’t announced, but it was enough to get fans excited to see his life story on the big screen.

Kodak Black is behind bars for a gun case. Nevertheless, he delivered on his promise to help take care of X’s son, Gekyume.
