Mavado Says Upcoming Song With DJ Khaled Is A Hit

Mavado and DJ Khaled

Mavado confirmed his new single with DJ Khaled is coming soon, and it will be a hit.

We haven’t been hearing much from the Gully Gad this year but whenever he drops off new music we’re all tuning in. Last month he released two new tracks, “Nuh Failure (Ghetto Youths)” and “Fresh Paint” with the later rumored to be a diss towards his longtime nemesis Vybz Kartel. Both singles have been doing well since they were released, but we’re looking forward to what Mavado has in store on DJ Khaled‘s upcoming album, Father Of Asahd, due on May 17.

Khaled always manages to assemble an all-star lineup for his projects and now we know that Mavado is on the guest list. “so @djkhaled hit me up this morning to let me know its a hit MAY 17,” Vado wrote on IG.

We also know that Sizzla Kalonji and Buju Banton are two other reggae/dancehall acts which are likely to be on the album, Father Of Asahd. There are some reports that Meek Mill, Big Sean, Nipsey Hussle, and Chris Brown will be among the lineup.

Mavado is signed to DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music Group. In January, the dancehall singjay and the producer were spotted on set a music video shoot in Miami with Jahmiel. “GULLY SIDE WE THE BEST @mavadogully x FATHER OF ASAHD Mavado vocals in ! @wethebestmusic,” Khaled wrote on IG.
