“One King” Of Dancehall, Beenie Man Drops Video For Vybz Kartel Diss Track

Beenie Man says it’s “One King.”

The dancehall legend is making it clear that there is only one king of dancehall and that’s himself. Beenie Man drops off the video for his new single “One King” featuring Jus Chris. The track is rumored to be a diss towards Vybz Kartel who is making a stake for the throne. “Man a king me no matter bout who should’ve been / Go tell headache say me a yo aspiring / Lyrics a flow like oil a Austin / Man a hot spring could a never be a as been / Dem ago tired fi see me face / Check out yo eye king / Or try the blind fold like the bird box thing,” Beenie spits.

Earlier this year, Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel got into a heated back-and-forth on social media over who is the current King of Dancehall. The debate was re-ignited after Fox 5 NY profiled the incarcerated deejay while labeling him as the King of Dancehall.

In his new song “One King” Beenie pointed out that he is the holder of a Grammy and has been a prominent dancehall artist for decades and still relevant today. The video saw him with a gold crown on his head sitting on his throne while females cater to his every need including lighting up his cigar.
