XXXTentacion’s mom, Cleopatra Bernard, confirms his collaboration with Vybz Kartel.

X got some new music on the way as his mother work to keep his legacy alive almost a year after his untimely death. In January last year, XXXTentacion told his fans that he got some new music in the works with incarcerated dancehall star Vybz Kartel. A few months later a snippet for a possible X and Kartel collaboration surfaced online. The song was rumored to be on his new album ?, but in the end, it wasn’t included, and sources told Urban Islandz that the song wasn’t real.

X was shot and killed in June last year, and we all thought that the rumored collaboration was dead. On Wednesday (April 24), XXL reported that the rapper’s mother posted a snippet of a new song with Vybz Kartel, Stefflon Don, and Ky-Mani Marley.

“His Majesty Haile Selassie so we royal / Triple Xcuse so we loyal / Big batty fat pu**y broad gal / Come yah back it up gal buss a whine,” Kartel spits in the short clip. We didn’t get to hear verses from all the other three artists on the track, but it’s very clear that the dancehall deejay was in his element spitting lyrics over a club beat.

Since his death on June 18, 2018, XXXTentacion‘s mother has released a handful of posthumous music including a track that appeared on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack called “Scared of the Dark.” Lil Wayne also released a surprising collaboration with XXXTentacion on his new album Tha Carter V called “Don’t Cry.” There is also a rumored posthumous album in the works, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

While we await more details about his new song with Vybz Kartel, Stefflon Don, and Ky-Mani Marley, take a listen to a preview below.
