Drake Makes Big Announcement About His 6th Solo Album In London

Drake announced that he has started recording his sixth album.

The OVO rapper performed at the O2 Arena in London last night and at the end of the show, he made a big announcement about his new album. Drake had some special guests with him at his O2 Arena show as his “Assassination Vacation Tour” continues to roar through Europe. The “In My Feelings” rapper brought out Popcaan and Giggs, while Tory Lanez brought out Jacquees as his special guest, which caused some controversies with Ella Mai.

“This is one of my favorite places to be in the world,” Drake said. “So I think what am gonna do. I kind of just started it last night if am gonna be honest with you. But I think what am gonna do is am gonna go home and am go make a new album so I can come back to London next year and we can do this again.”

Drake is once again proving that he is one of the hardest working artists on the planet. If he is not touring, he is recording. Makes you wonder when does he get time to rest. “This a Rollie not a stopwatch sh*t don’t ever stop,” he raps in his single “Nonstop.”

Drake released his fifth album, Scorpion, nearly a year ago on June 29 last year. The double-disc project sold a whopping 732,000 album-equivalent units in the first week of release, with 160,000 units from pure album sales.

Scorpion became Drake’s eight straight album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The project also broke the U.S. first-week streaming record with 745.92 million streams.
