XXXTentacion may be gone, but his music lives on.
The late Florida rapper received a whopping ten Billboard Music Awards nominations this year for his impressive run on the Billboard charts since his untimely death last year June. XXXTentacion picked up some nods in major categories including Top R&B Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Album, Top Male Artist, and more. In the Top Male Artist category, you will see him going up against Drake, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and Ed Sheeran. It will be interesting to see who will win this covetous category given that all five artists have had an amazing year.
XXXTentacion also picked up nominations in rap and R&B categories with his album ? getting a nod for Top Rap Album. His single “Sad!” also picked up nominations for Top Streaming Song and Video.
Cardi B leads this year’s Billboard Music Awards with a whopping 21 nominations, followed by Drake and Post Malone who are tied with 17 nominations. Travis Scott earned himself 12 nominations, while XXXTentacion picks up 10 nods.
