Dancehall Deejay Savage Says Eye Problem Is Very Serious

Savage says his eye problem is a very serious one and is no joke.

The dancehall artiste posted the photo on his Instagram while asking fans to pray for him following an emergency eye surgery. Some fans are suggesting that the move is a publicity stunt by Savage Savo to bring more attention to his career, but the deejay is pushing back against the allegation saying that he had two cysts below his eyes that required surgery to remove them.

“It’s not a stunt, if you go on my Instagram page you’ll see a photo I have with my daughter and you’ll see the lumps below my eye,” Savage said. “I wouldn’t need to do a stunt. If nothing nah gwaan fi you it just nah gwaan fi you, I don’t need to do that. At the end of the day, there will be people who will rush to think negative and say that, but I’m thankful to my fans for supporting me.”

Savage said he found out about the cysts following a show in Guyana where he had to wear sunglasses to hide the swelling. He visited an eye doctor when he returned to Jamaica, and that’s when he was informed that he would have to undergo surgery.

His doctor informed him that the cysts might have caused by bacteria infection from rubbing his eyes with dirty hands. The deejay says he has a number of new singles coming out as he recuperates from his surgery.
