J Cole all-star

J. Cole went platinum with his single “Middle Child” without any features.

In less than a month after dropping off his new single “Middle Child,” J. Cole is already picking up a platinum plaque for the effort. The Dreamville rapper confirmed that the Recording Industry Association of America has officially certified the single platinum which means it has sold over one million copies since its release on January 23. Cole already has a long list of singles that are certified platinum and several times platinum including, “No Role Modelz,” “Wet Dreamz,” and “Can’t Get Enough.”

J. Cole dropped off the video for “Middle Child” last week which breathe new life into the single. His fellow North Carolina native Mez directed the cut. The Dreamville rapper is currently working on his Revenge Of The Dreamers III compilation album, due later this year. It’s not clear if “Middle Child” will be featured on that project or a different one.

“Middle Child” has been maintaining a steady presence in the top ten on Billboard Hot 100 chart with its current position of number six.
