Buju Banton Performing At Rebel Salute 2019 ?

Buju Banton

Buju Banton may be gearing up to make an appearance Rebel Salute 2019.

Buju Banton’s first official concert is set for March 16 in Jamaica, but fresh rumors are floating around claiming that the reggae/dancehall singer could make his first appearance at this month’s Rebel Salute music festival in St. Ann. Feeling questions about the possible appearance, promoter Tony Rebel says he is giving the singer his space after he only recently returned home from a decade prison sentence in the United States for drug trafficking.

“All things are possible… Donovan Germain (Buju’s long-time collaborator) is in the house and everybody who come here tonight is asking; ‘Buju is on the Show?'” Tony Rebel said. “But let me tell you something. If a man go to prison for over three thousand and odd days and him forward, allow him to be an astronaut… Why? Him need space. Give him that. So we a do dat. You never know. He’s always invited, Germain knows that. And all things are possible.”

Rebel Salute will be held on January 18 to 19 at the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann. This year’s staging will see a strong lineup with acts like, Wayne Wonder, Luciano, The Wailers, Capleton, Mr. Eazy, Yellowman, Agent Sasco, Mr. Vegas, Jesse Royal, Michael Rose, The Mighty Diamonds, Queen Ifrica, Ken Booth, Half Pint, Bounty Killer as Rodney Pryce, and many more.
