Cardi B confirms that her sophomore album is coming around April of this year.

Ever so often Cardi B went on her Instagram Live to update her fans on new music and other happenings in her life including her rocky relationship with her baby daddy Offset. Yesterday, the “Money” rapper told her fans on IG that she wants to drop her next album around the same time that her debut project Invasion of Privacy came out last year. Invasion of Privacy was released on April 5th under Atlantic Records which is the label she still calls home.

“Hopefully, I can get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out,” Cardi B said. “I don’t know how possible that’s going to be because I feel like I’m going to be extremely, extremely busy.”

Invasion of Privacy earned Cardi B two Grammy nominations for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The project was nominated for Best Rap Album and Album of the Year.

The album debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart after selling 255,000 album-equivalent units in the first week. Approximately 103,000 units came from traditional album sales.
