XXXTentacion Wins Best New Hip-Hop Artist At BET Hip-Hop Awards 2018

XXXTentacion RIP

XXXTentacion is picking up awards from beyond the grave.

XXXTentacion wins the Best New Hip-Hop Award at BET Hip Hop Awards 2018 on Sunday night. X mother, Cleopatra Bernard, accepted the award on his behalf, along with the rapper’s former manager, Solomon Sounds, and lawyer, Bob Celestin. The BET Hip-Hop Awards ceremony was taped at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami on Saturday night, and a ton of celebrities turned out for the event.

XXXTentacion came out on top for the covetous BET Hip-Hop Awards trophy despite facing stiff competition from other young acts like BlocBoy JB, Rich The Kid, and Lil Baby.

The “Look At Me” rapper was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach, Florida, in June in an apparent robbery. Police have since arrested all four suspects who are now behind bars awaiting trial for murder. Sources say that the late rapper has recorded a significant amount of unreleased music for a new album, which means another project will be released after his death.

As for the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the ceremony will be broadcast on BET on October 16th. There will be some live performances from the likes of Cardi B, T.I., Gucci Mane, Gunna, Lil Baby, Lil Pump, YG, A$AP Rocky, Yo Gotti, and more.

Lil Wayne was presented with the “I Am Hip-Hop” icon award.
