XXXTentacion and Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne drops an emotional tribute to XXXTentacion, “Don’t Cry,” featured on his new album Tha Carter V.

We’ve all been waiting forever for Lil Wayne to drop his new album Tha Carter V, and now the wait is finally over, the album is here. Among the guest list is the late Florida rapper XXXTentacion, who was gunned down back in June during a robbery in Deerfield Beach, Florida. X may be gone, but his music lives on.

Rap icon, Lil Wayne is among some of the biggest names in hip-hop who are shedding light on XXXTentacion’s career and music. The single “Don’t Cry,” featured on Carter V, is a bit of a tribute to the late South Florida rapper. Tunechi delivered two powerful verses while X took care of the dark and emotional hook.

“You’re staring into the clouds, Are they rising or they comin’ down, I see death around the corner, And the U-turn sign’s lookin’ like a smile, What do I do now? Who gon’ find me, how? Nowhere to turn but around and round,” Lil Wayne raps.

Weezy sends a big shout-out to the late rapper in the Outro saying, “Don’t cry, stay tuned, And triple extension on my mother****in’ afterlife, Rest in paradise.”

X fans on Twitter have been reacting to the single and here are some of the reactions.
