Lil Wayne Accepts Birdman Apology and Nicki Minaj Approves

Lil Wayne and Birdman Weezyana Fest

Lil Wayne accepted a public apology from his former mentor and friend Birdman, and Nicki Minaj gave it her stamp of approval.

Lil Wayne hosted his annual Lil’ Weezyana Fest in New Orleans last weekend, and he had some surprised guests with him including Birdman, with whom he has been locked in a legal battle with for years. Nicki Minaj also made a surprise appearance as she took the stage with Weezy to perform some of her hits.

Around midway the concert, the Cash Money Records honcho took the stage, and at that moment he reminisces on how good it was to share that moment with Lil Wayne, whom he once had a father and son-like relationship with. Weezy and Baby recently settled their lawsuit and announced that Tha Carter V is coming sometime this year.

The most surprising thing about Birdman appearance on stage with Wayne was when he apologized, although he didn’t say what exactly he was apologizing for. Most YMCMB fans are of the agreement that he did Weezy wrong when he refused to pay him all the millions of dollars he owed to him.

“I knew this day was gon’ come but I ain’t know when it was going to come,” Baby said. “But this ni**a right here, the best ni**a, the realest ni**a, the illest ni**a. And I wanted to apologize to my ni**a worldwide.”

Right after that moment, Birdman and Lil Wayne came together to perform the Big Tymers classic “Still Fry.” check out the clip below and scroll right to view more videos.
