Spice Says Dancehall Will Be A “Romping Shop” With Vybz Kartel Return

Vybz Kartel and Spice

Spice says Vybz Kartel will win his appeal and come back to run dancehall with her.

Spice is the leading lady in dancehall right now and is arguably the new queen of the genre. A sizeable portion of dancehall also views Vybz Kartel as the king, although Beenie Man and Sean Paul are still very much active in the genre. King and Queen aside, Spice told Anthony Miller of ER that Kartel will be back soon and it will be a total takeover.

“Everybody know say Kartel soon come a road no question ask,” Spice said. “Me and you and God know say Kartel soon drop a road, so with the appeal me just a wait to see him come a road and me [naan] stop say free the World Boss.”

“Kartel big up yourself me boss because yo soon come a road, Spice love love you like that remember say you a me ‘Romping Shop’ partner and when you drop a road a me and you and God know say the music nice already but it ago nice over and over and over again.”

Spice and Vybz Kartel have previously collaborated on the Billboard charting single “Romping Shop.” The pair again collaborated on the single “Conjugal Visit” which did very well. Perhaps Vybz Kartel return will pave the way for another Billboard collaboration.

Vybz Kartel is now waiting anxiously for the appeal court to return a verdict after wrapping his case last month. The dancehall icon and his three co-accused are serving life for murder.
