Kodak Black To Be Released From Jail On August 18 Preps New Music

Kodak Black is weeks away from being released from jail, and he is already prepping some new music.

The Pompano Beach rapper was initially slated to leave jail sometime in October of this year, but now his release date has been moved up to August 18. Kodak Black got the good news after his attorney filed a motion in Broward County for him to be granted an additional 30 days of time already serves. A judge approved the motion and the Broward County Sheriff Office now listed his new release date as August 18, 2017.

Kodak Black was initially facing up to a decade in prison for gun and drug charges following an arrest in January of this year. In April, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper had some of the charges against him dropped and was sentenced to one year in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of probation violation. He was credited with time served which reduced his sentencing.

Kodak also received his High School Diploma last month, and now he is prepping new music ahead of his release from jail. “New music coming soon stay tune,” he tweeted this week.

It’s unclear if Project Baby will be dropping a full-length project or a single song when he leaves the slammer.
