Demi Lovato Recovering In Stable Condition Following Drug Overdose

Demi Lovato is now recovering in stable condition following a drug overdose.

Demi Lovato gave her fans and family a scare on Tuesday when she was rushed to the hospital for a drug overdose. Initial reports suggest that she was overdose on heroin but other reports suggest that the drug she OD on is unknown and she refused to tell hospital staffs the name of the drug. Lovato was found unconscious at her Hollywood Hills home around midday on Tuesday.

The “Skyscraper” singer is now getting treatment at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she is listed in stable condition. CNN reported that a representative for the singer said she is awake and is surrounded by her family and friends.

“Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” her rep said. “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Demi Lovato has never been shy about her substance abuse and even recently revealed that she had a relapse but was getting help. On her single “Sober” she revealed that she was struggling to stay clean and apologize to her fans for letting them down.
