Kyrie Irving Apologize To Kehlani Then Drop An R&B Song “Ridiculous”

Kehlani and Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving didn’t just apologize to Kehlani in a lengthy post, he also drops a new R&B song.

The Boston Celtics NBA star penned an open letter to his former girlfriend Kehlani following an incident that took place back in 2016 that cause her to get bullied on social media and even attempted suicide. The incident also involved PARTYNEXTDOOR who she was dating at the time following a breakup with the point guard. Seems Kyrie Irving still feels pretty bad about his role in that and decided to publicly apologize to the R&B singer.

“[Kehlani] I’m sorry, I know this is long overdue,” Kyrie Irving wrote on Instagram. “I have to speak on this simply because I owe it to you and you deserve the world to see you for you and how beautiful you are inside and out, and not for the attachment to an emotional moment in time where we both had to grow up and learn about our hearts and our souls in a world that judges and adds on fictitious pressure, SN: And also add that we are public figures now on this social media monster of a platform.”

Kyrie Irving also called out some of his own fans for showing up at Kehlani’s shows and heckle her. “I’m hearing people are showing up to shows and being disruptive while she performs and when it starts affecting real life progress, the sh*t has to stop,” he continues. “I am responsible as a leader to guide the young males who follow me in a positive way, & this is long overdue.”

Kehlani has since responded in a since-deleted message on Instagram saying, “The dopest part about this was the acknowledgment of his responsibility of leading young men that love him & go hard for him, that he has a responsibility to put his foot down where he sees fit.”

“I appreciated it no matter how long it took, I respect it being done period when really neither of us should be the one apologizing,” she added. “All love on this side.”

Kyrie Irving has a new R&B single coming out titled “Ridiculous” which will be a part of the Uncle Drew soundtrack. Kyrie, Nate Robinson, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, and Shaquille O’Neal stars in the film which hit theaters on June 29.
