Niko Chromatic Funeral Set For June 2

Niko Chromatic

Niko Chromatic funeral service is set for June 2.

The famed Chromatic Sound co-founder, whose real name is Nicholas Grand, passed away on May 8th while getting treatment in the hospital for kidney failure. The disc jockey has been battling a severe kidney disease since 2015 and was in the process of getting a transplant. Last year, a Gofundme account was launched to help raise US$50,000 for his treatment and a number of local celebrities donated money, but it’s unclear if they met the target goal. He was set to get treatment in Cuba at a future date and was going through regular dialysis when he died.

His girlfriend Kimberly Mais told fans on social media that Niko Chromatic died from a possible infected catheter. She says he was actually getting better when he passed away. “The funny thing is he was looking so much better, getting so much better,” Mais said. “(The doctors) always a tell him fi remove him catheter but Niko is a stubborn person.”

Niko Chromatic funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kingston on Saturday, June 2. The service starts at 1 PM.
