Kanye West Deal With Adidas Safe Amidst Slavery Backlash

Kanye West deal with Adidas is safe according to the company’s CEO, Kasper Rorsted.

The “College Dropout” rapper is under fire for making some statements about “400 years of slavery being a choice.” Currently, no one agrees with him except for perhaps his most hard line supporters. Even his celebrity friends are pushing back against the comments. There are some talks on Twitter that Adidas could consider cutting ties with him and now we know for sure that won’t happen because of one thing, he is making the company a boat load of cash from his Yeezy sneakers.

“Kanye has been, and is, a very important part of our strategy and has been a fantastic creator,” Rorsted told Bloomberg TV. “I’m not going to comment on every comment he or somebody else [is] making.”

After getting some push backs for his comments, Kanye West attempted to do some damage control, but for the most part didn’t do enough to tame the flames. “Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will,” Kanye tweeted amidst the backlash.

“My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved,” he added on Twitter. Ye has since deleted all his tweets about slavery and seems to be focusing on promoting his upcoming projects which we suspect was the reason for his latest controversies.
