Listen: J. Cole Drops New Album “Kids On Drugs” (K.O.D)

J. Cole new album Kids On Drugs aka K.O.D is now available and you can listen, stream, and download it on TIDAL.

J. Cole announced the project on Monday during a free concert in New York City where he told thousands of fans who showed up that he will be dropping an album called K.O.D on Friday, April 20, the day dubbed as national weed day. Interestingly, he gave the album three titles, Kids on Drugs, King Overdose, and Kill Our Demons. The artwork for the project features animated kids taking drugs so it’s pretty clear where he drew inspiration from for this body of work.

As for the content of the album, you will get 12 tracks including the Intro and you will get two guest spots from one artist called Kill Edward who is rumored to be J. Cole’s alter ego. Edward is featured on the tracks “The Cut Off” and “FRIENDS.” There is also a single on the album titled “Once An Addict” and another called “Kevin’s Heart.”

A few hours before dropping the album, J. Cole release a near two minutes long trailer giving us an idea of the concept behind the project. “If I turn on the TV right now it’s not going to take long for there to be an advertisement that pops up, that says, ‘Are you feeling down? Have you been having lonely thoughts?’” Cole said. “Then, they shove a pill in your face. The first response to any problems is [to] medicate.”
