Jeezy Announces Retirement Dropping Final Album “TM104”

Jeezy

Jeezy announced that he is hanging up the mic after his last album “TM04.”

Jeezy, also known as Young Jeezy to his earlier fans, is one of the most decorated rappers out of the Atlanta rap scene. Over the past two decades, he has developed a storied career for himself and now he has decided to close that chapter of his life. We all know that rappers retire and then come back a few years later so don’t take it as a permanent retirement.

The Snowman made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday. “As the Cold Summer tour comes to a end,” Jeezy tweeted. “It was inspiring seeing my day one fans since my first album & class TM 101 come out every night. Now class is coming to a end. It’s time for Graduation! My Last Album & Final Class: TM104 -#TrustYaProcess.”

The Atlanta trapper’s upcoming album “TM104” is currently available for pre-order on Jeezy’s website. So far there are not many details surrounding the LP, there is no release date or tracklist.

We do know that it will be his final LP and the last project of his iconic Thug Motivation album series. The first installment “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101” was released in 2005 and marks the beginning of an era for Jeezy in hip-hop. That project spawned a number of Hot 100 singles and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. His previous major label releases have all crack the top 5 on the chart. So perhaps that was one of the things that pushed him to the decision to retire from music.

Last year, Jeezy released his album Pressure which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and marks his lowest charting project to date.
