Beenie Man Confirm For BRT Weekend, Hits UK’s Mainstream Market

Beenie Man is confirmed for BRT Weekend in Dominican Republic and is once again breaking into the UK mainstream music market.

Dubbed the ultimate destination day-party series, the promoters of the popular BRT Weekend appears to be upping the ante for the new year. Inspired by Caribbean culture, the uniquely themed all-inclusive event has now expanded to incorporate multiple locations namely the Dominica Republic, New York Tri-State Area, Los Angeles, Atlantic City, Florida Keys and the Turks & Caicos islands.

The first installment scheduled for May 3 to May 6 in Punta Cana, Dominica Republic will feature dancehall king Beenie Man as the main headliner among other acts. This comes in the wake of previous appearances last year by fellow A-listers Aidonia and Popcaan. Beenie Man is scheduled to perform on Sunday, May 6.

Despite some tumultuous times in recent weeks with the passing of his grandmother and hospitalisation of his mom. Beenie Man remains upbeat and is definitely looking forward to delivering an explosive set come May.

“Beenie Man is definitely looking forward to this engagement. BRT Weekend has become a staple on the social calendar especially for the Caribbean and North American nationals and continues to grow with each staging. So this is a very important platform to connect with the fans. Therefore they can expect nothing but the best when he hits the stage in Punta Cana.” – Beenie Man’s management intimated.

With a full roster of activities leading into summer, come March 26, the dancehall doctor is also expected to headline the highly publicised ‘Love & Harmony Cruise’ alongside Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Sanchez and Chakka Demus & Pliers before jetting off to the twin-island republic of Trinidad & Tobago for an engagement on April 14.

Returning to British mainstream radio with his latest single ‘10 Metric Ton’ featuring Stylo G. Plans are also afoot for a double video premiere by the dancehall hitmaker for ‘Lifestyle’ and the ‘New Wave’ Medley in the weeks ahead. The visuals were Shot by director Steven Bernard.
